Blogs, chats, wikis, icqs, instant messaging …we are all daily users of the world wide net - and yet we are not aware how our structures of communication and social interaction might thus change for the future.

This film will make the actual trip throughout the world from one internet-user to the ones, he is so far just virtually in contact with. And then visiting their internet contacts – and so on…We will travel the world wide web in actual terms and are curious whom to meet on the other computer line: an internet shop surfer in Korea, a sheik behind his computer in Dubai, a lonely retiree in Finland, a computer freak in New York…?

The film is a snap-shot of the virtual global village of our time

with new, transparent communication structures

and their influences on our way of life.
